Summer Teacher Institute
Learn how to empower and ignite creativity in your students though artwork at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art! Teaching from works of art in the classroom can make all subjects come to life, from history and science, to math, English language arts, and more. This week-long professional development session will introduce teachers to the methodology and process of teaching from works of art and provide them with the skills and tools necessary to teach their students through engaging and meaningful dialogue. Museum Educators from Crystal Bridges and Teaching Artists from Trike Theatre will facilitate interactive and immersive sessions in the galleries and classrooms. You’ll leave feeling energized and prepared to use art in your classroom to enhance student learning in many areas, including communication, interpretation, inference, visual literacy, and critical thinking skills.
