Watch Party » Portraits of America by The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra
The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) with Wynton Marsalis presents a new collaboration bridging visual art and jazz composition. In partnership with Crystal Bridges, JLCO members have spent the past year exploring centuries worth of American art, ranging from masterworks to lesser-known gems in the museum’s collection. Each musician was asked to select a single work of art as inspiration for a new original composition.
Now, this new collection of music will be performed by the JLCO in a world premiere event for the first time on June 7. Every song will be accompanied by a visual display of the artwork that inspired it. Join us for a watch party of this exciting concert in the Great Hall, streamed live from Lincoln Center (8 pm EST) showcasing Wynton Marsalis and the dazzling Crystal Bridges permanent art collection. Drinks will be available for purchase and a cash bar will be on hand during the evening.
