Virtual Discover the Grounds » Encountering Native Snakes

Join us on Zoom as we celebrate World Snake Day by learning more about the native snakes of Arkansas with a local herpetologist Kory Roberts. Come learn about the vital role that these often feared and misunderstood creatures play in our local ecosystem. Learn to identify a variety of species, both venomous and nonvenomous, and gain a greater appreciation for these fascinating animals.

About Kory Roberts:

Roberts is webmaster of the HerpsOfArkansas.com website, lead author/manager of the Arkansas Herpetological Atlas, and presenter of a number of educational programs each year, including workshops for the Northwest Arkansas Master Naturalist Class and outdoor classes for the Arkansas Audubon Society Halberg Ecology Camp, a youth camp for budding ecologists.
