Sculpture Conversation » A Place Where they Cried with artists Pat Musick and Jerry Carr

Meet the artists who created A Place Where They Cried, an outdoor installation near the north end of the Crystal Bridges Trail. Pat Musick and her astronaut husband, Jerry Carr, will discuss creating the 65-foot-long stone sculpture. The artwork is a tribute to the Native Americans who traveled through Arkansas on the Trail of Tears. Both Musick and Carr are environmental artists, the result of Jerry’s views of our fragile Earth as seen from outer space. They will discuss the condition of the planet as well as their view of outdoor sculpture’s role in the field of art.

A shuttle will be available for transportation to the North Trail at 10 am and 10:15 am. Space is limited – please arrive at the shuttle stop at the entrance of the museum 5 to 10 minutes early.

Free, no registration required.
