Remember 2019 Storyshare Workshop
Join Crystal Bridges and Remember2019 for a workshop on healing from the remembrance of racial terror, coinciding with the centennial of the Elaine Massacre of Phillips County, Arkansas. Through songs, storytelling, and reflection, we will seek answers for questions such as: How should we remember tragedy? How does it shape our identity? How is it present with us today? What are our long standing traditions for moving through our hurt? And Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s timely question – “Where do we go from here?”
This discussion will be led by local educator, connector, and entrepreneur, Airic Hughes, and emerging visual performance artist and Arkansas native, Angela Davis Johnson, members of the Remember2019 collective.
