Open Call for Community Participants in a Dance Performance
Calling all community members interested in joining an outdoor dance performance!
Become part of the scene as a “mover” for a performance called Aniwisvsgo’i by Kansas City artist and choreographer Maura Garcia, presented by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Aniwisvsgo’i means “they are always planting” in Cherokee.
The museum will be hosting three performances throughout the community at Lake Atalanta on Sunday, June 2, Crystal Bridges on Saturday, June 8, and Lake Fayetteville on Sunday, June 9.
Community participants do not need to be trained dancers–all bodies and abilities are we lcome–but should be comfortable with moving in the background during a live performance. The live performance will be 23 minutes long. Open to performers ages 12 and up.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out and submit one of the forms below by April 25, 2019.
