Local Panel Discussion + Will Wilson

Join us in for a panel discussion with photographer Will Wilson, ACLU Oklahoma representative Jasha Lyons Echo-Hawk (Seminole-Creek, Pawnee, Creek, Omaha, Iowa), Curator/Director of the Osage Nation Museum, Hallie Winter (Osage), renowned educator and fashion designer Wendy Ponca (Osage), and Indigenous linguistics specialist Alaina Poole-Tahlate (Caddo). This discussion will be moderated by Sean Teuton, who is an author and Associate Professor of English and Director of Indigenous Studies at the University of Arkansas (Cherokee). Linked to the Will Wilson focus exhibition, this event will engage a variety of local voices to explore topics such as the role of art and history in current Native American social justice, language revitalization, and appropriation, among others.
