Their art gave witness to an enduring faith—now come hear the stories behind the art. Join curatorial assistant Jayson Overby for a discussion on our new focus exhibition, This is the Day. Featuring works from Crystal Bridges’ permanent collection, this free exhibition brings together 24 artistic representations of Black faith and spirituality, including the work of Bruce Davidson, Faith Ringgold, and Arkansas-based photographer Aaron Turner. Each piece illuminates the resilience of the Black church and the communities it has served for more than 300 years. Learn about the everyday stories, struggles, and celebrations that have given shape to Black lives and culture over the years, both historically and today.

Per CDC guidelines, guests and staff who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are no longer required to wear face coverings. If guests are not vaccinated, face coverings are still required. Face coverings are still recommended for children 2 and up, unless they are vaccinated. Face coverings will be available upon entry for those who do not have one.
