Meet Tyson scholar, Michaela Rife, as she shares fascinating stories on the creation of Alexandre Hogue’s Pecos Escarpment. Rife is a Ph.D. candidate in art history at the University of Toronto, working on intersections between art and land use in the American West. Rife will also expand upon Hogue’s work, who was part of the artist movement in the early twentieth century capturing society’s relationship with the American West landscape and the industrial boom.
