Featured Artisan Demonstration and Sale » Mollyjogger’s Scrimshaw

Meet Mollyjogger founder Rick Stagner to learn about the history and art of scrimshaw. Scrimshaw is an early American art form originating from the whaling industry in the late 1700s. Indigenous cultures also carved on bone and tusk, examples of which are on view in our current exhibition Nature’s Nation: American Art and Environment.

Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mollyjogger adopted its name from the original Mollyjoggers Fishing & Hunting Club, circa 1890, Mollyjogger is an authentic heritage brand based in the Ozark Mountains celebrating the region’s unique history of outdoor recreation and folklore. Founder Rick Stagner inherited his passion for retail trade, the outdoors, and sporting tradition from his ancestors.
