We’re teaming up with student organizations from the colleges and universities in the region for a creative evening presented by college students for college students. Don’t miss out on this once a year experience at the museum for a college takeover. Just before finals hit, come out for live music, interactive games, experimental theatre, and a good old-fashioned dance night. You can perform, create your own artwork, or mingle with other students. Presented by students at Northwest Arkansas Community College, John Brown University, and the University of Arkansas.
We’re looking for painters, photographers, engineers, playwrights, performers, architects, mathematicians, and more to submit their ideas or presentation proposals. We’ll help you develop your space or facilitate your performance and give you access to the tools you need to make it a success. We want to showcase whatever your talents and ideas may be, so think outside the box. If you’re in a student club, we could showcase your club, too!
You can participate in College Night in one of three ways:
- Sharing: Perform or present on stage for an audience! If you’ve got an idea, talent, performance, band, tour, robotic demonstration, or anything else you’re interested in showcasing at the museum, this is your chance to do it.
- Creativity: Calling all artists! Want to flex your creative muscles during the evening? Come to College Night and create a brand new masterpiece.
- Connections: Don’t feel like getting up on stage? That’s okay! Come to College Night ready to meet new people. Follow our program guide to connect with other college students in the region over fun icebreakers and tasks to complete!
Please make your submission on our website and we will be in touch no later than October 26. If you have an idea that you would like help developing, please reach out to Kentrell Curry, Associate Museum Educator, at [email protected].
