Virtual Workshop in a Box » Botanical Cyanotypes with Hillfolk Textile Studio & Shop
Create your own unique set of prints as you explore the art of cyanotype printing, an alternative photographic process utilizing the sun’s UV rays. In this online workshop you will learn about the cyanotype process, an art that mimics photography with the use of cotton sateen treated with light sensitive chemicals. Each participant will create three unique pieces of photo printed fabric using an assortment of dried botanicals from Meus Florals. We also encourage participants to collect interesting objects and botanicals to add their own unique flair to their art! Suggestions include leaves, ferns, flowers, jewelry, or anything with a unique shape.
Register by November 6 to have workshop materials shipped.
Hillfolk was founded in 2018 by Bea Apple and Trisha Logan. In addition to the shop, Hillfolk also offers a variety of workshops covering a wide spectrum of textile and fiber arts.
