A Walk in the Woods is our newest, small, focus exhibition opening on August 31. From minuscule artworks to giant works on canvas, A Walk in the Woods provides a guided walk through an ever-changing, seasonal forest, complete with moments of wonder and surprise. The exhibition is completely free to all and can be found in the Early American Art Gallery.
One of Crystal Bridges’ newest collection acquisitions is opening for a Member Preview beginning August 31. Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room–My Heart is Dancing into the Universe is a small room filled with mirrors and paper lanterns that have dots that change color. This effect makes it appear like the dots expand forever into the universe. Members will get to experience it first from August 31 – September 30. It will open to the public on October 2. Click here for tickets and to learn more.
With the installation of Kusama’s Infinity Mirrored Room, our Contemporary Art Gallery has undergone some changes. During Labor Day weekend, the room will be reinstalled with brand new acquisitions and returning favorites. Spend an afternoon enjoying art and discovering new artists and ideas.
There are five miles of walking and biking trails on the Crystal Bridges campus, each lined with art and sculptures. While you’re in Eleven, grab a coffee or beverage of your choice at the Coffee Bar and take a leisurely walk on the trails with your family and friends enjoying art in nature. Color Field is also still open in the North Forest through September 30!
We hope to see you at the museum this Labor Day weekend!
