Career Information (Past, Present or Future)
I practiced architecture in Memphis and Fayetteville for over 40 years. I’m a member of Fayetteville Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals and a Washington County Election Poll Worker.
Hiking, canoeing, fishing, camping, and music, especially Blues and other roots music.

The Bachman Wilson House
How did you learn about the Museum and what prompted you to get involved?
I was involved during the Museum’s construction as local architect representative.
In what ways have you been involved as a volunteer with the Museum thus far?
Bachman-Wilson House Guide – Drop-In and Ask Me Tours
What keep you coming back to volunteer?
The interest that many visitors seem to have in the Bachman-Wilson House and Frank Lloyd Wright.
What do you enjoy most about your volunteer experience?
Sharing the genius of Frank Lloyd Wright and my personal experience with Fay Jones.
What have you learned or how have you been personally affected from your experience with the Museum?
That you do not have to be an expert to be a really good guide.
Do you have an inspirational story you can briefly tell about your volunteer experience?
Many visitors’ reactions confirm that good architecture speaks for itself and does not always need to be explained – people get it.
Do you have any advice for individuals considering volunteering with Crystal Bridges?
Volunteering at Crystal Bridges is both rewarding and fun.
