Don’t leave The Beyond with just a memory—bring home a keepsake from our pop-up shop!
The Beyond: Georgia O’Keeffe and Contemporary Art features paintings, sculptures, photographs, site-specific installations, and more. The exhibition closes on Sept 3, and so does our pop-up shop. Don’t miss your chance to see the show and shop for a unique memento inspired by the exhibition. The pop-up shop is located in the reflection space as you exit the exhibition. From scarves to coloring books, stunning prints and more, you’ll find the perfect reminder of your visit to the museum.
The exhibition catalog, featuring cover art of Sharona Eliasaff’s It wasn’t supposed to end this way is available for purchase in the pop-up shop, along with a stunning lamp featuring the artist’s Stars to dust, dust to stars. The painting exemplifies Eliassaf’s playful yet psychologically profound intersection of text and image, and her complex layering of dense, richly colored patterns. Splitting her time since childhood between Israel and New York City, Eliassaf is deeply affected by the changeable notion of place: Her canvases are stage-like spaces where she manipulates her own sublime, weaving cryptic narratives from the collected experiences of overlapping countries, languages, identities, markets, anxieties, and technologies experienced in the everyday. Like in a dream, nothing is excluded as subject matter: TV game shows, storefront signs, breaking news, overheard conversations, cosmic phenomena, and digital images all swirl and synthesize in a single composition. Don’t miss the chance to take home this unique memento of the exhibition.
In addition to these items, the pop-up shop features coloring books inspired by O’Keeffe, artwork-inspired stationary, catalogs of O’Keeffe’s work, and more. Be sure and stop in the pop-up shop before the exhibition closes! Crystal Bridges’ Museum Store offers an engaging shopping experience in a one-of-a-kind environment. The Store’s unique interior was designed by Fayetteville-based architect Marlon Blackwell. Inspired by the fluting on the underside of a mushroom, the design features undulating rows of cherry-wood panels along the ceiling and back wall. Blackwell’s design received an American Institute of Architects Honor Award for Interior Design in 2015.
