Lately, we’ve been having some fun identifying museum lookalikes: these are people on our staff or volunteer corps who bear a striking resemblance to an artist or artwork in the Crystal Bridges collection. Today’s lookalike comes from Library Director Catherine Petersen. Are there any museum lookalikes in your life?? –LD
Here’s our evening and weekend Library Reference Assistant, Jim Everett, who looks like many photos I’ve seen of the artist Jasper Johns (1930 – ). Johns and our Jim have Southern roots and, although a couple of decades apart, both came into their own in the 1950s; Johns as a painter, printmaker, and sculptor, and Jim as a young man who would later grow to have great appreciation for philosophy, art, and music.
