Mondays are for Mindfulness

Turn your Manic Mondays into Mindful Mondays at Crystal Bridges! Each Monday at the museum, we offer an event that focuses on mindfulness through meditations in art, nature, yoga, and tai chi. Take some time for yourself to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate at the museum with these programs focused on mindfulness, surrounded by the beauty of art and nature:

  • Yoga & Art, 6 to 7 pm, every first Monday of the month
  • Meditation and Mindfulness, 1 to 2 pm, every second Monday of the month
  • Figure Drawing, 1 to 3 pm, every third Monday of the month
  • Sunset Tai Chi, 7:30 to 8:30 pm, every fourth Monday of the month

Yoga and Art

Mondays, May 6, July 1, August 5, 6 to 7 pm

Exercise your body and mind at Crystal Bridges with yoga and art, every first Monday of the month! Join instructors from Yoga Story in an uplifting group class that explores different facets of vinyasa as well as various disciplines of yoga practice. Open to all levels. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and dress appropriately. $5 (Free for members), register online or with Guest Services.

Special Event! Yoga and Art » 108 Sun Salutations | Saturday, June 22, 7 to 8:30 am

This special yoga session celebrates the arrival of the summer season with 108 poses that will refresh you and energize your yoga practice.

 

Meditation and Mindfulness

Mondays, May 13, June 10, July 8, August 12, 1 to 2 pm

Take a break from your busy life and visit Crystal Bridges for rejuvenation in these guided meditation and mindfulness programs, surrounded by the beauty of art and nature. Sessions are held every second Monday of the month and are either held indoors in front of artworks from the permanent collection galleries, or outdoors along our beautiful trails and grounds. Free, no registration required.

Special Event! Meditation and Mindfulness » Summer Solstice | Saturday, June 22, 1 to 2 pm

Celebrating the arrival of the summer season, join us for this special outdoor meditation on the North Lawn.

 

Figure Drawing

Mondays, May 20, June 17, July 15, August 19, 1 to 3 pm

Ready to practice the basics? Take some time for yourself and join us in the studio for an afternoon of figure drawing at the museum every third Monday of the month. A variety of drawing materials will be provided, and model poses will include both shorter, warm-up poses and longer poses. All experience levels are welcome. $10 ($5/members), register online or by calling Guest Services at 479.657.2335.

 

Sunset Tai Chi  

Mondays, May 27, June 24, July 22, August 26, 7:30 to 8:30 pm

Plan to wind down from your busy day and join us this evening on the South Lawn for tai chi and qigong as the sun sets, surrounded by the beauty of art and nature! Led by Erik Hardin, L.Ac and certified instructor, each session will begin one hour before the sun sets every fourth Monday of the month. All experience levels welcome. $5 (Free for members), register online or with Guest Services.

Special Event! Sunset Tai Chi with Master Bing | Monday, June 24, 7:30 to 8:30 pm

This special session will be led by Zhong Xuechao (Master Bing), a fifteenth-generation Wudang Sanfeng Kungfu master. All experience levels welcome.
