Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art welcomes all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature.
World-renowned architect Moshe Safdie took great care to embrace this mission when he designed Crystal Bridges.
Safdie consistently creates structures with the specific location and culture in mind. His design philosophy states: “Our solutions evolve in response to the context that defines a place—local and regional characteristics of landscape, climate, cultural heritage, and contemporary life. Celebrating the unique character of each place, we create buildings that belong.”
This summer, Crystal Bridges’ temporary exhibition Global Citizen: The Architecture of Moshe Safdie explores Safdie’s process and perspective, through more than 100 objects, including drawings, sketches, videos, photographs, and scale models. This exhibition closes on September 1, so don’t miss your opportunity to get some fascinating insight into the design process of Crystal Bridges’ architect!
To celebrate the Crystal Bridges’ iconic architecture, the Museum Store has acquired an inventory of architecture-related products, including souvenir note cards, eye-catching mugs, tote bags, coaster sets, and more! Drop by soon and browse!
