Crystal Bridges is looking for individuals who love interacting with the public to become Cart Guides, a brand new volunteer opportunity! Cart Guides will provide engaging, hands-on experiences and answer general questions for guests in the subject areas of art, architecture, and nature. Museum staff will provide all the training and tools a Cart Guide will need to facilitate unique experiences and interact with guests.
We’re holding two information sessions (dates below) to provide interested individuals with information about what is required of our Cart Guides. Initial interviews will be conducted in December of this year. For those accepted, training will be held in three sessions: phase one begins in March, phase two in May, and phase three in July. Specific details regarding the training will be covered at the information session.
Once each candidate has completed training and been accepted as a Cart Guide, he or she will be asked to make a commitment to offering cart experiences for guests and attending ongoing training.
If you’re interested in Crystal Bridges and love working with people, becoming a Cart Guide may be just the thing for you! This training is not done every year, but only on an as-needed basis as our Cart program grows. There are only 40 spots available, so don’t delay!
To learn more about what it means to be a Cart Guide and to receive an overview of the training required, attend one of these information sessions at Crystal Bridges. Sessions will be held in the Bellows and Cassatt classrooms on the museum’s lower level, off Walker Landing.
NOTE: Interested individuals must RSVP for one of the following information sessions.
