We are so excited for this weekend. Art in Bloom is Crystal Bridges’ annual celebration of the power of art combined with the beauty of nature. 11 talented florists from Northwest Arkansas have created 12 unique arrangements based off artworks in the museum’s permanent collection.
The flowers were installed in our galleries yesterday – here’s a sneak peek at some of them:
Florist: Cindy Stevenson, ZuZu’s Petals & Gifts; Artwork: The Gems of Brazil, Martin Johnson Heade
Florist: Diana Thompson, Samantha’s Garden; Artwork: Depression Bread Line, George Segal
Florist: Stephanie Green, Amaryllis Design; Artwork: No. 210/No. 211 (Orange), Mark Rothko
Don’t miss your chance to see them – this weekend only! The flowers will be in the galleries today through Monday (March 18). The map for all flower locations can be found below.
Have kids in tow? Spring Break Specials is also starting this weekend, beginning Saturday! Take a walk through the galleries to see the flowers, then head to the studios for free artmaking, games, and more. Spring Break Specials happens every afternoon, March 16-24 from 1-4 p.m.
As part of Spring Break Specials this Saturday and Sunday, kids can create floral arrangements in the lower lobby and leave them on the pedestal for all to see!
