Crystal Bridges offers a wealth of programs, events, and resources designed especially for children, teens, and families. These include art-making classes and workshops for children or families, public performances, family tours inside and outside the Museum, drop-in fun in our Experience Art Studio, and guided art-making and drawing sessions with artist-educators. Free Family Gallery Guides and “Art Tote” kits are available for use by families while exploring our galleries.
Preschool Playdates are monthly drop-in gallery activities just for children ages two to five, with a caregiver. The program will include a child-friendly performance in the Great Hall, followed by a variety of theme-based and collection-inspired activities, allowing you and your preschoolers to explore at your own pace. Themes will be announced soon, so save the date! No tickets necessary.
Youth Classes and Workshops
These are hands-on, multi-visit classes and half-day workshops that will focus on techniques in the visual arts while making connections with the Museum’s collection and exhibitions.
Enjoy a day of family activities, art, and fun at Crystal Bridges. Family Sunday features live entertainment, art-making activities, gallery hunts, and creative play. All activities are free. No registration required.
Join in on a free, informal drawing session in the Museum. Materials are provided and a Museum educator will be on hand to get you started or offer guidance. Check at Guest Services for the specific location. All ages are welcome!
Studio Sessions are artist-led art-making sessions that take place one day a month in the Durand and Estes Studios (located next door to Experience Art Studio). Materials and instructions for several projects are provided at no cost, and an artist-educator will guide you through the process.
