Crystal Bridges offers a host of resources for college students, including workshops and classes, public lectures, the Crystal Bridges Library, guided tours for college groups, and internships in a variety of departments throughout the Museum.
The College Ambassador program offers an opportunity for college students with a passion for the arts to be part of a vibrant group working together to take action through art. Ambassadors are chosen through competitive application and meet at the Museum monthly to participate in art-making and educational activities driven by the group’s interests. Ambassadors work with Museum staff to plan and implement the Museum’s college programming, including a culminating event or community project.
Who is Eligible
All registered college and university students (freshman through Master’s level) with an interest in art, art-making, and community engagement are eligible to apply. The application is not limited to art students, as we encourage those from all disciplines to participate. College Ambassadors should be dedicated students willing to make a commitment of time and talent to make a difference at the Museum. Up to 25 participants will be selected.
Applicants should fill out our online application, which includes a brief essay of from 500 to 1000 words stating why you are interested in being a College Ambassador.
Applications are due by Friday, January 17, 2014 and applicants will be notified of the results by Monday January 20, 2014. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 29 from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.
