The program features Leora Jackson, founder of Umoja Soul and the Poetic Justice Open Mic of Northwest Arkansas. The event will include short poetry performances by Jackson and other members of the Umoja Soul group. The PJOM was founded to create an open platform for poets to express social change and equality for all. The evening opens with a traditional spiritual song performed by Lauren McClinton, a former Fisk Jubilee singer and Fisk University alumni.
