Discover the Grounds » Creepy Crawlers

Spiders, centipedes, scorpions, and other lesser-known arthropods cause fear for some and arouse fascination in others. Meet entomologist Austin Jones in the Museum’s courtyard under Louise Bourgeois’s  30-foot-tall spider sculpture, Maman. Discover the native crawlers here in the Ozarks, and how being creepy can actually be a good thing! We’ll discuss the characteristics that make arthropods unique, where to find them, and how to avoid danger when exploring these often-misunderstood members of our community.

Free, no registration required.
