Discover the Grounds » Apples in the Ozarks with Curt Rom

Did you know that in 1910, Benton and Washington counties had the highest apple tree population of any county in the United States? Join University of Arkansas Professor – and apple expert – Curt Rom, with Interim Library Director Valerie Sallis for stories on the history of apples in the Ozarks. Following the discussion will be a fun comparison of apple varieties, including the Arkansas Black apple, as well as a close look at our collection of books and prints on this fantastic fruit.

Sponsored by Blue Rhino.
