Adult Mini Workshops » Benjamin Cirgin

Led by artist Benjamin Cirgin, create a small-scale three-dimensional landscape sculpture using a reductive method of carving and cleaving raw clay. Participants will spend time studying the Crystal Bridges landscape as it merges with the temporary exhibition Chihuly: In the Gallery and In the Forest.  Each sculptor will have the opportunity to cover their work with colored glaze, resulting in a fused, pure glass finish. Projects will be fired off site and available for pickup at the museum two weeks after the workshop.

Cirgin is a maker and educator whose work has representation in galleries across the country and has received numerous awards and grants in the field of art and craft. Benjamin is the co-founder of the artist collective One + One + Two; four professional artists aiming to strengthen the San Francisco Bay Area arts community and beyond. For more information on Benjamin’s work, you can visit his website: https://www.benjamincirgin.com/.
