Adult Mini Workshops » Joel Armstrong

Led by wire artist Joel Armstrong, this workshop will introduce you to the process of creating wire and paper sculptures. Students will be encouraged to draw inspiration from the shape, forms, and colors of Chihuly: In the Gallery and In the Forest.

Armstrong holds an MFA in drawing from Colorado State University, where he began to work in wire and installation art. More recently, he has worked with nickel/silver wire, commissioned to do wire sculptures for hotel lobbies across the country as well as aluminum public art pieces. He currently teaches drawing and illustration at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
