Sign Up Now for Summer Camps!

Summer is just around the corner, and Crystal Bridges’ education team is geared up and ready to offer some awesome art adventures for kids ages 4 to 14.  Summer Camps offer a mix of gallery experiences, outdoor activities on the museum grounds, and hands-on artmaking, led by Crystal Bridges’ artist educators. It’s a fun way to learn more about the art in Crystal Bridges’ collection, try out new skills, make friends, and spark creativity and imagination!

Below is a brief description of each camp.  Follow this link to see all the camp programs and information about registration.

 

June 19 through 23

Imaginate and Create (Ages 6 to 12), 9:30 am to 3 pm
Offered in collaboration with the Scott Family Amazeum,
Experience TWO museums for one camp.  Campers will spend half of each day in the Amazeum, investigating how to view the world in weird and wonderful ways using curiosity, creativity, and ingenuity. Then they spend the other half of the day at Crystal Bridges discovering how artists use these elements, too. The program includes daily STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities.

July 10 through 14

Movie-Making (Ages 10 to 14), 9 am to 4 pm
Script, direct, act, and film your own movies!

Art + Game Technology Camp (Ages 10 to 14), 9 am to 4 pm
Facilitated by Nerdies and New Design School
Campers will learn 3D modeling, game design, and game development concepts in the creation and playing of an integrated virtual game within Crystal Bridges. Art, games, and tech all in one!

July 17 to 21

Color and Light (Ages 6 to 8), 9 am to noon
Experiment with works of art that light up!

Fashion Camp (Ages 9 to 12), 9 am to noon
Make accessories and wearable art!
$150 / $120 members

Art Adventures (Ages 6 to 12), 1:30 to 4:30 pm
Create adventure stories through drawing, collage, and mixed media.

July 24 through 28

Creative Kids (Ages 6 to 8), 9 am to noon
Explore line, shape, color, rhythm, texture, light, and sound and create with a variety of art materials.
$150 / $120 members

Mini Masters (Ages 4 to 5), 9 am to noon
Introduce your little artists to the museum with gallery activities and artmaking!

July 25 through 28

Camp Connect (Ages 9 to 12)

Camp Connect at Crystal Bridges is a summer day camp for children with autism and peer mentors ages 9 to 12. The camp will feature fun activities for children to connect with artwork in the Museum’s collection while making connections with other children. A family orientation session will be held on July 24 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Presented in collaboration with Project Connect at the University of Arkansas.

Before- and After-Camp Care

Crystal Bridges offers before-camp care, monitored lunch-time care, and after-camp care. Prices are for the full week, in addition to tuition.

  • Before-Camp Care: 8:15 to 9 am, $15
  • Lunch Care: Noon to 1:30 pm, $25 (Note: Children attending the morning session must bring a sack lunch.)
  • After-Camp Care, 4:30 to 5:15 pm, $15

Available weeks:

  • June 12 through 16
  • July 10 through 14 (supervised lunch included)
  • July 17 through 21
