Education
Crystal Bridges places the enjoyment of learning about art and history at the center of the visitor experience. Entertaining and educational programs will bring the stories behind the works of art to life in a variety of ways, engaging visitors of all ages.
Once Crystal Bridges is open, our educational programs will focus on three distinct areas:
- Public Programs will connect with everyday visitors in new ways. Our “daily menu” of events will include tours, in-depth workshops, films and lectures, and our annual events and festivals will bring families and individuals together in new ways.
- School Programs will provide learners of all ages relevant, curriculum-based programming that supports classroom learning. The school program will include student tours, workshops, educator professional development, curriculum connections, and in-depth learning through technology.
- Communities Programs will bring our community to the museum, and our museum to the community. Through on-site and off-site initiatives, community groups will engage with the collection and develop a deeper understanding about art and the way it touches their world.
Even as you take in the collection on your own, we’ll be there. Whether you’re playing together as a family in the interactive gallery, learning more about an artist from an interpretive label, or reading the exhibition catalog in a comfortable chair, Crystal Bridges’ talented educators provide guidance and insight that enhances your experience.
