ArtBuzz

You may have been to one…or you may have wondered what ArtBuzz means! ArtBuzz is a program created by our exceptional Learning Experiences division that provides a public talk right in the Massey gallery! They are always free and open to the public, with no registration necessary. We provide the refreshments (usually coffee and biscotti – which provide the buzz!), while you sit back and enjoy the fascinating insights into our current exhibitions.
The talks are led by professionals in the community as well as our staff, and are great forums for thought-provoking and meaningful conversation and ideas. The leaders choose a subject surrounding the current exhibition, so that visitors can enrich their experience in the gallery by seeing something different each time they look at a piece of art.
Some of our past ArtBuzz speakers include: Dr. Chaim Goodman-Strauss of the University of Arkansas; Susan Young of Shiloh Museum of Ozark History; Dr. Jeannie Whayne, professor of history at the University of Arkansas (also on the Crystal Bridges staff!) as well as many of our Learning Experiences staff!
Watch the calendar for upcoming programs and stay tuned for next week’s story on ArtBuzz After Dark, a related and very fun version of ArtBuzz!
